Reliable sources say that the female lead who starred in SAMedia Production's "My First Love Story" was relieved from the filming of "Finally a Real Princess" and has been retrenched from the rival company.

Rival company spokesperson said during a hastily assembled press conference that the company will not reveal reasons for displacing the female lead and the termination of her contract.

However, statistics of the female lead's extremely high maintenance cost spread like wildfire amid internal rumours that the company may soon be sinking into deeper debt if no remedial action was taken.

A member of the film crew, interviewed on the condition of anonymity, said that "problems started surfacing within three months of her employment" and that the company’s resources were being stretched "too thin".

The company spokesperson spoke of the relations between the company and the female lead as "fairly fine" during the weeks before her retrenchment and no hard feelings were involved.

It is not known if the company has decided to look for a replacement to continue filming "Finally a Real Princess". In fact, the company spokesperson hinted at the press conference that production of "Finally a Real Princess" may totally be scrapped.

All staff at SAMedia Productions were ordered to maintain press silence regarding the matter while the PR Department drafts a press release for the media. It was rumoured that the Director's stand on re-employing the female lead has yet to change.

At the same time, anonymous sources within SAMedia Productions confirmed rumours that the production of "The Girl Next Door" will be replaced with "You're Still My Number One". It also confirmed that several candidates have undergone selection trials and are currently awaiting results.

The female lead could not be reached for comment. Unconfirmed reports say that she has since indulged herself in continual studies in denial of the entire incident.
